As South Africa celebrates Women's Month and honours the resilience, determination and achievements of women across every industry, Maxim is recognising the growing number of women choosing to build careers and earn an income in the e-hailing sector. The company has recorded a 2.5-fold increase in female drivers compared to the same period last year, highlighting a significant shift in an industry that has traditionally been dominated by men.

Maxim has extended its community outreach efforts in Mbombela through a charity drive in support of Child Welfare SA, providing a donation in essential supplies to assist the organisation with its ongoing work supporting vulnerable children, families and communities.

Maxim, the e-hailing service connecting passengers with drivers through its mobile app, marked Mandela Month by bringing joy, care and support to children at Bophelo Child and Youth Care Centre in Kimberley during a community charity drive held on Saturday, 25 July 2026.
