On June 4, 2026, Maxim met with Iloilo City Mayor Raisa Treñas to provide updates on its services and ongoing initiatives. During the meeting, the Mayor expressed appreciation for Maxim’s previous collaboration with the city on road signage projects.

Maxim also presented its proposal to introduce MC Taxi operations in Iloilo as part of its efforts to expand accessible and affordable transportation options. The company reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with the City Government and relevant stakeholders to explore the introduction of MC Taxi services while considering the interests of commuters, riders, and local authorities.

Earlier, on April 30, 2026, Maxim met with Iloilo Representative Julienne “Jam Jam” Baronda to discuss measures that support ride-hailing drivers amid transport sector challenges, including rising fuel costs. During the discussion, Maxim highlighted that its commission structure has long been designed to support driver earnings and sustainability. The company noted that its commissions typically range from 5% to 18%, depending on the service type, city, and vehicle classification, helping drivers maximize their income while maintaining service quality.

Representative Baronda acknowledged Maxim’s driver-focused approach and efforts to maintain competitive commission rates. Maxim also shared its existing driver support programs, including incentives and performance-based initiatives that help increase earnings. These include permanent programs such as vehicle branding, as well as campaign-based activities tied to community engagement efforts that provide additional income opportunities.
