Maxim Bring Mother’s Day Support to SOS Children’s Village Cebu

In celebration of Mother’s Day, Maxim Rides & Food Delivery conducted a donation drive at SOS Children’s Village Cebu on May 5, 2026, providing hygiene and toiletry kits for families.

SOS Children’s Village Cebu is a private, non-political, non-denominational organization that provides long-term, family-based care and education to children in need. At SOS Children’s Villages, children who have lost parental care are supported in a family-like environment, living in a home with an SOS mother, their siblings, and other children. They receive holistic care until they are ready to live independently.

An SOS mother lives with the children and attends to each child’s needs while respecting their culture, family background, and personal story. Recognizing their emotional need for a loving and caring mother, she remains present at all times to provide consistent care and support.

The initiative reached family houses within the village, helping support daily hygiene and household needs. During the activity, a team composed of seven Maxim staff members delivered the donation boxes to the village. They were also given a tour of the facility by Florence Camillo, Philanthropy and Partnership Officer of SOS Children’s Village Cebu, where they met some of the beneficiaries.

A beneficiary from Family House 6, Nanay Butch, said, “I am very thankful for the blessings provided by Maxim. The essentials are a big help in easing my budget requirements.”

Camillo expressed appreciation and encouraged Maxim to continue supporting the village, saying, “Thank you so much, Maxim. Please continue supporting us in the village.”

Through this initiative, Maxim continues to recognize and support mothers who play an important role in their communities.
